PROJECT ENHANCEMENTS – FACTS & FIGURES

CALL FOR EXPERTS
A call for experts has been launched as part of the ALECTOR project. Experts of any kind operating in the cultural heritage domain are invited to join the Black Sea Heritage Observatory – the project legacy upon completion. The project partners jointly published the call inviting experts from the partner territories having 3 years of proven experience in heritage management, communication, interpretation, culture and the arts or other. It is foreseen a Black Sea pool of more than 180 experts to be attracted as available resources to the Black Sea Heritage Observatory who can actively contribute and cooperate within thematic spheres of culture heritage interpretation and promotion. The call is published in the official project site, partners’ websites as well as many other partnering communication tools. Participation of Alector Partnership in a Conference

of the ENPI CBC JOP Project 2007-2014
“Streams-2-SUPRESS-Fires”

The International Conference
The conference is organized by Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology (EMaTTECH) and the Center for Research and Education on Water Resources (C.R.E.W.) under the project ” Utilizing Stream Waters in the Suppression of Forest Fires with the Help of New Technologies ” with the acronym “Streams-2-SUPPRESS-Fires” that is funded under the EU INTERREG IV “Black Sea Basin Joint Operational Programme 2007-2013” framework. The Conference has focus on current developments in environmental and water management with an emphasis on innovation and new technologies to enhance its effectiveness and efficiency.

The UBBSLA Hosted The Second Cross Border Meeting

During 26-28 November 2014 the project partners gathered in Varna for the second cross border meeting of the project. The meeting was carried out as part of the project and the UBBSLA hosted the main activities.
The main topic of the meeting was focused on the discussion of the nine pilot tourist objects to be developed in the partner countries and promoted through the promotional spot, the travel aider and the open street museum.
The tourist routes in the countries cover a variety of activities and initiatives related with visiting places of cultural and historic heritage. To this end, the pilot object of Varna, Bulgaria entitled as “Varna – open to the people” encompasses ten significant culture and historic places under the moto “Hundred years in 60 minutes”. It is the idea that the objects are to be visited by walking in 60 minutes and the historic heritage and the social and economic life of Varna for the past 100 years is to be explored. Some of the places were visited and introduced to the project partners during their stay in Varna

ALECTOR KICK-OFF MEETING

The Lead Applicant of ALECTOR hosted the three-day kick-off meeting of the project in Drama (Greece) between the 3d and the 6th of June 2014. The meeting was held in the City Council Hall of Drama with the participation of all ENPI and IPA Partners (for the full programme please click here).
